VERITAIS INTRODUCES THE iBOAT SM iPOD DOCK
A stylish new amplified iPod surface mount docking station
Veritais, the leading provider of audio‐visual solutions to the luxury and super yacht sector, is introducing the iBOAT SM, one of the most stylish yet discreet iPod docks that the market has seen to date. Not only does it look good, the iBOAT SM also comes with a built‐in amplifier that enables the dock to be connected directly to a pair of speakers of up to 10 watts output each or, via its AUX output, to other audio systems. Designed for interior installation, the iBOAT SM is ideal for luxury yachts of any size that want the highest quality audio‐visual fittings, but at the same time require them not to intrude into the overall décor particularly when not in use. The ability of the iBOAT SM to function both as a standalone sound system and as part of a larger installation gives it welcome versatility, and this goes a stage further with the addition of an AUX input socket that enables additional media players to be connected if required.
The unit has the appearance of a flush‐mounted, polished metal plate measuring 150mm by 60mm, and which protrudes just 7mm above the mounting surface. The amplifier and connection sockets extend down another 22mm into the space below. Ideal for any horizontal surface, whether it be in a saloon, cabin, galley or elsewhere, it is simple to retrofit, is vibration proof, uses little power (1.66 amps maximum) and powers down automatically after being idle for 90 seconds. It also features reverse polarity and overload protection circuitry and has front LED lights for volume and balance indicators. The sound quality is first class.
